OIA-AOF Volunteer of the Year Award

The OIA is proud to present the International Volunteer of the Year Award with our member, the American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF). This annual award celebrates one osteopath or osteopathic physician who has made significant contributions in one or more of the following areas: humanitarian public health outreach, osteopathic professional recognition and practice rights, osteopathic unity and global standards, and population health, health equity & global health research.

The OIA will provide the awardee with one (1) complimentary registration for that year’s Annual General Meeting & Conference, and the AOF will provide the awardee with a travel stipend of up to $5,000 USD to help defray airfare and hotel accommodation associated with attending the AGM and Conference.

The 2026 nomination period will be open from March 2, 2026 – April 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM (CDT), and nominations must be submitted by leadership from an OIA member organization (individual nominations are not accepted). The awardee will be notified by July 1 and will receive their award at the OIA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Conference on November 5-7, 2026 in Paris, France.
